Manila, Philippines – A confessed pusher whom he claims to be working in a drug syndicate, tagged Herbert Colangco as the bulk importer of illegal substance in the Philippines.
According to a report on GMA News on Wednesday, Lito, not his real name, surfaced to reveal that Colangco is his drugs supplier of which he used to get three kilos of “shabu” weekly.
Lito pointed out that he made transactions on what he believe was the right-hand man of Colangco.
Colangco, allegedly imported 200 kilos of the illegal substance from China either weekly or monthly, according to the whistleblower.
PHL President Rodrigo Duterte earlier last week named Colangco among the suspected drug lords being protected by retired deputy director General Marcelo Garbo Jr, was among the so called “Bilibid 19” currently housed in building 14 at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
Lito confessed to the authorities to reveal that his family was threatened to be executed by his former cohorts because of his huge knowledge about the syndicate’s black market of illegal substances.
He was quoted saying in Filipino, “they will behead my child if ever they capture them just for me to surface.”
“I know a lot.”, he added, when asked why members of the group were running after him.
PNP Chief, Director Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, after his interview with the confessed drug pusher stated that the person has shared a “very valuable information” to authorities.
According to the report, the whistleblower was reportedly ceased selling shabu four months ago following the several threats he receives as well as in fear for the safety of his family.
He also reveals the names of former cohorts who were now in hiding following the assumption of office of the Duterte administration.
Bato directly ordered an investigation and conducted an operation based on Lito’s statements.
