Manila,Philippines -Two telecommunication companies signed an agreement with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) early today.
According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Facebook post on Thursday evening, both rival networks agree to work with the government to established 911.
The 911 hotline which has been implemented in Davao City had proven efficiency to secure an immediate response to firefighters, medics, and police in times of emergency.

The President earlier this month suggested to establish a national emergency hotline which will link to the National Emergency Response Center.
Another thing to watch out next month would be the establishment of a direct citizen hotline where Filipinos can air their grievances directly to the President.
